Sachin Tendulkar shows his street cred, plays gully cricket in Mumbai

On Monday night, the little master played cricket on the streets of Mumbai with a group of construction workers. But you can not take the sport out of a sportsperson even after he/she retires as it was witnessed in a video on social media where the master blaster is playing gully cricket. Yes, Indian batting maestro indeed captured on camera playing gully cricket in the lanes of Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) with metro workers! The 44-year-old former Indian skipper plays a few balls, till fans passing by in cars notice that its none other than the legend who wore #10, and stop by for selfies. But now that he's retired from the sport (in 2013), the 'Master Blaster's focus has shifted from competing on the field to outwitting the opposition with his expertise.

In the video, Sachin Tendulkar gets down from a vehicle before coming up to a group of youngsters and bats on to a few deliveries.

The video has been shared multiple times on social media as netizens were bowled over, yet again, by the God of cricket's simplicity.

Colorado teachers push for more school funding
Still, the crowd sizes were noticeably smaller on Monday. "To bring in quality educators, we need the funding". That wave has notably seen teachers in West Virginia get a 5% pay raise last month after a nine-day strike.

For most of his life, Tendulkar has lived a life under constant public scrutiny.

Tendulkar is now serving as the mentor of Mumbai Indians (MI), the Indian Premier League franchise for whom he played between 2008 and 2013. His presence in the team adds to confidence of the side led by captain Rohit Sharma and coached by Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka.
