Reliance Jio files complaint against Airtel over Apple Watch service

Now, the reports are coming that Reliance Jio is all set for the launch and they launched unveiled Jio Postpaid and its first real step towards the smaller segment of India's telecom market. At present, the lowest monthly rent of Jio post-paid plan is Rs309.

Jio on Thursday announced its new "JioPostpaid" that will be available for subscription beginning May 15.

To offer a such a seamless connectivity service without any issues, carriers such as Airtel and Reliance Jio offer a dedicated network node.

The plan priced at Rs 199/- comes with unlimited voice calling, 25GB data, offers global calling starting at just Rs. 50 paise per minute, doesn't have an overage charge, has auto pay zero clicks monthly payment, shows bill in real-time and you also get it in your inbox at the end of the month. Under this plan the ISD Calling is accessible with just 50 paise per minute.

"This is at 50 per cent discount to comparable packs by incumbents and 60 per cent discount to postpaid ARPUs". According to industry specialists, Jio's tax of Rs 199 is near the level offered to prepaid endorsers.

The company's official Twitter handle posted the invite for the launch of the device, which will be held in NY on June 7. The launch of the BlackBerry Key2 has been confirmed by a tweet made from BlackBerry Mobile's official Twitter account.

The company also announced global roaming service with outgoing calls at Rs2 per minute onwards. Clients selecting Rs 199 won't require paying any security store and they will get an unlimited free voice, SMS and 25 GB data at 4G speed.

Reacting to Jio's move, brokerage Jefferies said its rivals would respond to the move and this would impact the average revenue per user (ARPUs) of Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular.

"Jio's Rs 199 per month post-paid tariff plan is a sector negative and will delay the Arpu recovery for the sector", CLSA said.

Heavy losses in Idea Cellular (down 9.51 per cent), GTL (down 6.88 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 5.59 per cent) and GTL Infrastructure (down 4.28 per cent) were keeping the telecom index in deep red during Friday's trade.
