25-year-old posed as teen to play high school basketball

As "Richardson", local coaches voted him the District 11-5A offensive player of the year.

When Sidney Bouvier Gilstrap-Portley made a decision to have his own fast times at Hillcrest High School in Dallas, he got no such permission from the administration, and simply claimed to be a 17-year-old Hurricane Harvey refugee in order to join the basketball team. The hurricane's devastation last August included much of the Houston area, and Gilstrap-Portley claimed to have been displaced by it, along with some relatives.

School officials believe the alleged con-artists main motivation was to play basketball, with Dallas ISD Superintendent Dr Michael Hinojosa forced to apologize for the blunder. So it's not even that he's a pervert who's attracted to 14-year-olds, he just liked hanging out with her, which makes very little sense to me. The girl reportedly thought he was 17.

According to the Morning-News, the mother of a 14-year-old at Hillcrest High said her daughter began dating Gilstrap-Portley in January.

The report noted Gilstrap-Portley bonded out of Dallas County Jail after his Friday arrest.

Gilstrap-Portley's ruse was finally uncovered when one of his former coaches saw him playing and notified officials stating "one of my former players who graduated a time ago is playing for you". So much for that.

The school's principal says Gilstrap-Portley was a member of the basketball team.

We've been hearing rumors for a while now that the next Battlefield game will be revealed at E3 or EA Play next month. However, the upcoming live stream will be the determining factor if Operations will be in this year's Battlefield .

"I don't know what, how the school let this slip through the cracks".

Sandra Verduzco, a spokeswoman for the communications department of the Dallas Independent School District's Police Department, confirmed to Law&Crime that cops are looking into a "possible improper relationship" between Gilstrap-Portley and a student.

The mother says that her daughter insists that the two did not have a sexual relationship.

After Gilstrap-Portley was exposed, a school board spokesperson said it will be reviewing its homeless student policies.

"I'm upset, frustrated, angry and sad at the same time", she said. "If it's happening at Hillcrest, then it could be happening somewhere else".

'People need to know.
