At its upfront presentation today, the network premiered trailers for its new pickups, including the buzzy revival of Murphy Brown, its Magnum P.I. reboot, and a show about God using social media.

Sans mustache and comma in the title, Magnum P.I. is back and now played Jay Hernandez. Watch this Fall on CBS. So while The Eye is keeping 24 of its series from 2017, it is also toying with three new comedies and five new dramas, which include (naturally) a host of police procedural (FBI, The Red Line), revivals like Murphy Brown, and reboots like Magnum P.I. "This new programming has inspired stories from CBS' iconic past; unique concepts from both new creative voices and established hit-makers; big stars and fresh on-screen talent; and programming that is inclusive, both in front of and behind the camera".

The Neighborhood, from CBS Television Studios, will kick Monday off nights at 20.00, following a Midwest family that moves to a street in LA where not everybody appreciates their extreme neighbourliness. The original series with Daly and Sharon Gless aired its final episodes in (you guessed it) 1988 - indeed, 30 years ago this month.

- "Happy Together", which stars Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West as a happily married couple in their 30s who begin to reconnect with their younger, cooler selves when an exuberant young pop star drawn to their super-ordinary suburban life (Felix Mallard) unexpectedly moves in with them.
