Granted, the last few films have flattered to deceive but Bumblebee looks very different to recent entries in the franchise.

The trailer, which you can check out above, previews the journey of Bumblebee and Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), as well as a possible foe that the pair will have to face.

One of the biggest mysteries of modern day cinema has got to be the enduring popularity of Michael Bay's Transformers series.

After practically destroying the entire world in an orgy of explosions, vehicle chases and scrap metal, the Transformers franchise is going back to its roots with a character that was there from the very beginning of Michael Bay's saga. It also further evokes the film's nostalgic approach to the Transformers franchise.

Paramount Pictures has debuted the first teaser trailer and poster for director Travis Knight's upcoming live-action Transformers spinoff Bumblebee; check them out here... The late 80s-set film, starring Hailee Steinfeld, was written by Christina Hodson. Interestingly, the trailer gives the impression that this film will be a much smaller film than its predecessors, focusing more on the friendship between lovable VW Beetle and Hailey Steinfeld's Charlie Watson after she finds him in a scrapyard.
