Kathleen Willey: NBC Dropped the Ball with 'Serial Rapist' Bill Clinton

Former President Bill Clinton and bestselling author James Patterson were on Tuesday's Late Show to promote their thriller, The President is Missing, but Stephen Colbert jumped straight into Clinton's widely panned response to a question about Monica Lewinsky on Today.

"I would like for the #MeToo movement to be so kind and recognize myself and Paula [Jones] and Juanita [Broaddrick] and Kathleen [Willey] and many, many other women starting many years ago that have come out with claims of sexual harassment from Bill Clinton", she said, adding, "They haven't given us any respect as far as I'm concerned".

Mr. Clinton is back in the headlines this week for comments about his sexual relationship in the mid-1990s with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Later, on CBS's Late Night with Stephen Colbert, President Clinton admitted that his response during the earlier interview "was not my finest hour". It's what Democrats say any time someone points out the disturbing parallels between the way Democrats excused, and eventually rallied behind, Clinton and what Republicans are doing for President Donald Trump.

After airing those clips, Guthrie assured Melvin, "You did not assert he never apologized, you asked whether he had apologized". "And when we heard what had gone down in the-pardon the expression-in the Oval Office, whhen we heard about what happened there, it was the most shocking thing we had ever heard".

"When I first met Bill Clinton, it was when I was sent on my first story by myself after my training with my cameraman", she told Ingraham. In fact, the NBC segment included footage of Clinton's 1998 public apology, which Clinton acknowledged to Colbert after the host fact-checked him.

When Whoopi then pointed out how Hillary Clinton has been "dragged through the dirt" over her husband's affair, McCain accused Hillary of being "complicit". It's way overdue. But I think - it doesn't mean I agree with everything.

After posting 18 points in the first 15 games of these playoffs, he has a lone assist and a minus-2 rating against the Capitals . Ovechkin leads the Caps with five power-play goals, while Alex Tuch and Colin Miller top the Knights with three each.

'I apologised to everybody in the world, ' Mr Clinton added.

He went on to repeat that he did apologize to his family, Lewinsky and her family, and the American people for his actions.

However, Colbert didn't want to let Clinton off the hook so easily and said how during the interview, the former President appeared to be offended that the question had even been asked.

McCain also wondered why Clinton discussed the toll the Ken Starr investigation took on him personally.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich defended his former political nemesis Bill Clinton Wednesday morning during an interview on "Fox & Friends".

Crucially, that was the first time he had commented on the affair since the beginning of the "Me Too" movement.
