Battle Royale Mode Coming to ‘Battlefield V’ Multiplayer

It is the first of what will probably be 100 battle royale modes announced at E3.

EA revealed more details today at the EA Play press conference including a closer look at the game's multiplayer.

Battlefield V is due out October 19 for PC and consoles, and EA has already promised to drop the Premium Pass and map packs for this entry in the long-running series. There will also be a new battle royale mode, but it wasn't given a video preview.

DICE's Oskar Gabrielson and Lars Gustavsson unveiled the news and revealed that Battlefield Battle Royale will feature destructible environments. "It's royale re-imagined for Battlefield", senior producer Lars Gustavsson said of the mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has already been confirmed to have such a mode in development, and now Battlefield 5 will as well.
