The first sale of the smartphone is on 12th June. Xiaomi has been making decent IPS LCD panels in this category for a few generations now.

A Xiaomi smartphone that does not have a notch has been listed with three model numbers. At the back, there are slight differences. Via the multiple rollouts, MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM will come to Redmi Y2, Y1 Lite, and Y1. In this comparison, we are going to focus only on the rear cameras, as that is an important part of one's decision when purchasing a brand new smartphone. While the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at 12,999. But when you compare it to the other phone in their lineup, this phone does not give you a great value. In comparison, Redmi Y2 offers notable upgrades and improvements over its predecessor.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to take the legacy of Redmi Y1 forward, which was launched in India in November a year ago.
