Resident Evil 2 Remake Gets Gameplay-Filled Alternate Trailer

Resident Evil is Capcom's flagship game series with more than 83 million in total unit sales since the original entry dropped back in 1996.

Terrifyingly realistic visuals - Built on Capcom's proprietary RE Engine, Resident Evil 2 delivers breathtakingly photorealistic visuals in 4K whilst stunning lighting creates an up-close, intense and atmospheric experience as players roam the corridors of the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD). "The first look at E3 is just a taste of what's to come". Now, 20 years after the original release of Resident Evil 2, it's time to return to Raccoon City. Keeping in line with the survival horror that defines Resident Evil 2, grotesque hordes of the undead are brought to life with a visceral sense of wetness and gore, reacting to attacks in real time with visible damage from every bullet and shotgun shell.

It's possible that there are other changes in the Resident Evil 2 remake, but if there are, Capcom hasn't revealed them yet.

Like the original found on the first iteration of the PlayStation, players will have the option of choosing to play between Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Everything about Spider-Man for PS4 from E3
Ghost of Tsushima was first announced last October when Sucker Punch studios revealed they were working on a new property. On top of that, the gameplay trailer also introduces the five villains that will be in the game - and one mysterious one.

Attendees at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (Los Angeles, June 12-14) can get an early preview with the first hands-on demo opportunity for Resident Evil 2 at Capcom's booth. This is a complete and total remake of the original title that actually looks better than most modern games. Players will feel they're in the shoes of heroes Leon and Claire, terrified to step out of the light for fear of what flesh-eating nightmares might await them in the darkness.

Story-wise, we do see quite a few familiar faces and locations in the Resident Evil 2 remake trailer.

The remake is, rather surprisingly, coming out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2019.
