'Furious' Maradona wants to meet Argentina players

The 1986 World Cup victor described himself as "furious and upset" and lashed out at the Argentina Football Association President Claudio Tapia as the "guilty party" after Thursday's result.

Ronaldo has already scored 4 goals from 2 matches in the tournament, certainly lighting up world football's greatest extravaganza, and is expected to continue his fine form when Portugal take on Iran later tonight in their final group stage match.

They had even lost to Spain and Nigeria in pre-World Cup friendlies, yet even England legend David Beckham reckoned Argentina will be one of the finalists at FIFA World Cup 2018. He's no Ronaldo in that regard.

Reports suggest Argentina's players are taking player power to a new level at the 2018 World Cup following two sub par performances.
