Honor 10 GT with 8GB RAM, enhanced graphics launched

Huawei unveiled the Honor 10 with 6GB of RAM back in May which was lined up alongside many high-end devices and now the Chinese manufacturer has upped the internals of the device with necessary upgrades to improve its overall performance.

Huawei launched Honor has launched Honor 10 GT and V10 GT (Honor View 10) in China.

The Honor 10 GT will be 5.8-inches with a 2280×1020 LCD display. The latter is a software and hardware optimized graphics acceleration technology that enhances the graphics performance of a smartphone by 60 percent and at the same time it consumes 30 percent less power. The Kirin 970 SoC handles CPU duties along with the Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. The company aims to make the GPU Turbo technology available to its phones through a software update.

The 6 GB variant now goes for CNY2,599 (less than $390/€340), so the more powerful one should be slightly higher than that. Considering the 6GB variant goes for $390, we should expect the Honor 10 GT to be slightly pricier. This new phone comes with step-up specs we have seen in the Honor 10 and a whole lot more extras.

Sweden will be tough opponents, though, as they have shown throughout the tournament they are capable of shutting teams out. Gareth Southgate's England side face Sweden in Samara on Saturday. "During my time with England we met them four times".

To be clear, it's an Honor device, but Huawei owns that branding. Honor 10 GT will be enabled with the same camera feature from July 12 through a beta update. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with EMUI 8.1 on top and is backed by a 3,400mAh battery. The front-facing camera is a 24MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.

Since the Huawei gaming phone is expected in the later months of 2018 at the very earliest, it's possible that the phone will come packed with a newly upgraded version of Huawei's proprietary Kirin processor. The phone arrives with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 16MP primary RGB sensor with LED flash and a 24MP secondary monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture, CAF, and PDAF.
