Eden Hazard Makes Big Real Madrid Claim

Hazard is yet to sign a new contract with Chelsea as he is still at the World Cup with Belgium in Russian Federation, where he has played a starring role in their run to the semi-finals.

For the moment, it is unclear just who will replace Ronaldo in the squad this summer, but everything points to Chelsea and Belgium star Eden Hazard, who has always been a target for the club.

The 19-year-old's permanent €183 million (A$288 million) move from Monaco officially came into effect on July 1, rendering him an indispensable asset for new manager Thomas Tuchel.

And he recently revealed signing for the European champions is a dream of his.

The Belgian winger has made no secret of his appreciation for Zidane, though the Frenchman chose to step down from his role in charge of Real after a third straight Champions League win and was replaced by Julen Lopetegui.

However it looks like the Frenchman's resignation has not stopped Hazard from wanting to pull on the famous white shirt.

Bouchard, now ranked 188 in the world, will face fellow former Wimbledon junior champion Ashleigh Barty for a spot in the last 32.

"So Cristiano, I tell you this: make the right choice". Zidane is someone special it's true, but I think Real is everyone's dream.

"The victor of Belgium v France will be the firm favourites to win a World Cup that has made for compelling viewing from first to last", he added.

Perez is desperate to sign Neymar too but Hazard appears the more likely signature at this stage, with Diario Gol reporting that No. 7 spot has been reserved for the Chelsea man.

Chelsea have not made any summer signings and their managerial situation is still uncertain with Antonio Conte in charge.

Hazard stressed he wanted to win trophies with the Blues despite their poor run of form last season's campaign.
