Jack Wilshere signs for West Ham on three-year contract

The ex-Arsenal star completed his move to West Ham yesterday by signing a three-year contract.

Goal reported this weekend that the 26-year-old would have to pass exhaustive medical tests to prove his fitness prior to signing , and sources have confirmed that Wilshere has done just that, and will sign in time to take part in the Hammers' pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

"I think I must have been about six or seven, my whole family were West Ham fans, I was a West Ham fan, still have a soft spot for them of course".

The summer injury to Hammers playmaker Manuel Lanzini is a major blow to the east London club, with the Argentina worldwide set to be out until the new year.

But if you don't think you'll be able to wait that long for your Litchfield fix, we have just the thing for you. Season six is coming SOON, and all episodes will be dropping on Netflix in July.

Michail Antonio is one of three players West Ham United are prepared to offload if the right offer is made, according to a report.

"It feels special. Many people know that I've had a special bond with this club growing up", he said. Talks over a new contract had been progressing for a number of months, but it was said to be a lack of assurances over regular playing time that convinced Wilshere to leave the Emirates. "Jack is a player with vast experience and quality at the highest level, having played all of his career in the Premier League".

He returned to make 38 appearances for the Gunners last season but chose to leave in search of first-team football after meeting with new Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

Furthermore, he still remains the youngest debutant for the Gunners, making an appearance against Blackburn Rovers in 2008 at the tender age of 16 years and 256 days. It is telling that none of the Premier League's traditional "big hitters" appeared to be interested, while he never really seemed to be in contention for a place in England's World Cup squad either.
