Arsenal complete Lucas Torreira signing from Sampdoria

Arsenal teased the announcement with a social media video before announcing the deal themselves on Monday.

However, it remains unclear whether Torreira will be available for the start of the Premier League season.

Torreira figures to replace Jack Wilshere who chose not to re-sign with his boyhood club after his contract expired, and instead joined West Ham on Monday.

Torreira becomes Arsenal fourth signing of the summer.

Having made 30 appearances in all competitions for Lorient and is confident of making an impact in north London with a playing style that he hopes will suit the club.

Lucas Torreira has signed for Arsenal from Sampdoria amd will wear the No 11 shirt.

'He is a young player already with good experience, but who wants to keep on growing.

The Greece global who has been heavily linked with the Premier League side since new manager Unai Emery took over has finally penned a deal.
