‘Fortnite’ season 5 introduces desert biome, golf carts and free weekly challenges

This follows on from the release of the new Fortnite update as we mentioned eariler.

When it comes to weapons, there are a handful of changes to shotguns, allowing you to see how many pellets hit your opponents. Finish all of them to earn as many Battle Stars as possible - which will give you maximum value, in terms of loot, for your Battle Pass. Also, after firing a shotgun, you won't be able to use a different shotgun for a short amount of time, presumably to avoid players weapon switching to fire off shotguns faster than they were created to be shot.

V5 introduces a new vehicle option called the ATK, or All Terrain Kart. There are also some damage and bullet drop-off changes to the SMG. The All Terrain Kart can fit an entire four-person squad, offers a speed boost after drifting, and allows passengers to lean back in order to get greater height on jumps. Unfortunately, it's one hell of an effort to get the skin, with players needing to complete seven separate weeks of challenges. There is a new "Desert" biome and two new locations, Paradise Palms and Lazy Links. The center of the 7th, 8th and 9th Storm circles can now shift in random directions instead of just simply shrinking.

The way progressive challenges are handled is also changing, starting today with V5. The sooner you get a glimpse of it, the sooner you'll know whether or not it's worth the grind!

Conservative rebels target Theresa May's Brexit plan
May's government was rocked Monday by the resignations of Johnson and Brexit Secretary David Davis . They also are in a minority in parliament to try to change any deal that is agreed with the EU.

"Progressive challenges are now completed by acquiring a fixed amount of XP and is no longer dependant on your season level".

Auto-fire has also been added as an option in the iOS game - you can toggle it on and off in the settings menu. As a big fan of motion control in shooter games, I am very excited about this particular addition.

There are some other more minor bug fixes and tweaks to the game, which can be read in full here. However, the patch notes for the beginning of Season 5 are already live, revealing new locations, vehicles, and a host of new features coming to the game.
