Unai Emery says Jack Wilshere Arsenal decision was 'tactical and technical'

Wilshere signed for West Ham earlier this week after parting company with Arsenal at the end of his contract. Wilshere, 26, said last month that he made the decision after a one-to-one conversation with Emery, in which the new head coach indicated he wouldn't be a regular starter.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says the fight for the No. 1 goalkeeping position is wide open at the club even though he brought in Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

"I am very happy with him".

"The big clubs don't close the [door] or the moment to sign a new player".

And Emery believes Arsenal's dealings for the summer are over.

He said: "We signed the players who we needed and only if one player is a big opportunity for us will we sign them".

Arsenal begin their pre-season on 14th July while their presence in the International Champions Cup ensures that they will face several high-profile opponents before the big kick-off against Manchester City.

Senator Graham Slams Democratic Dissent of Kavanaugh
Democratic senators spent Tuesday trying to connect the dots between potential threats to health care and Trump's high court pick. Still, Democrats are pointing to that case as a red flag as Congress considers elevating Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

Ramsey is into the a year ago of his contract, and Arsenal are keen to avoid the problems they had last season with Alexis Sánchez in the same position.

And that player could be Nzonzi, with Emery being asked directly about the Sevilla man.

"We are also thinking about the players who were with us a year ago and whether we need them to stay with us".

Emery says the team is done doing transfer business now, but obviously a can happen between now and deadline day. I'm very happy with him.

"I know this player here is important for the supporters and grew up here in Arsenal but I don't give him one place in the starting 11 and it is for that (reason) he choose to leave here and I respect also this". "It's clear that we have [a lot] of goalkeepers but we want to work in the future with three goalkeepers in the first team".

"At the moment, I think the squad is complete", Emery told a prematch news conference ahead of a preseason friendly at Boreham Wood.
