Transfer: Juventus agree swap with Manchester United for Pogba, Pjanic

Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has suggested that Paul Pogba will stay put at Old Trafford this season amid reported interest from elsewhere.

United said last night that Pogba was not for sale amid claims that Barcelona and Juventus want to sign the World Cup victor before the European transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

Juventus are in the market for a new midfielder and have been informed of the availability of Pogba.

Mourinho has taken plenty of heat for not putting Pogba in a position to succeed at Manchester United, and some have even theorized that if things don't change, Woodward will be tasked with picking one or the other.

Pogba made 37 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United last season.

Pogba returned for pre-season training on Monday after winning the World Cup with France, and sources close to him say he would be open to a move.

The Red Devils paid big money to snare Pogba away from Italian champions Juventus two years ago, but he has been subject to criticism at Old Trafford, while there are also question marks over his relationship with Jose Mourinho.

Thoughts on Barcelona's cash plus players offer for Paul Pogba?

'The players are in a closed camp, isolated from the external world, from commercial compromises, and every possible influence'.

In theory, Barcelona would have until the end of the month to sign Pogba before the transfer window closes in Spain.

Several English media outlets report that Raiola will present a bid of €110 million that Barcelona are willing to pay the "Red Devils" to acquire Pogba.

The deal could hinge on Marcos Rojo leaving United and he has yet to be convinced that a move to Everton is the best option for him.
