The "Maleficent" actress cited irreconcilable differences in her initial filling in 2016, following an alleged incident of child abuse on a private jet, involving Pitt.

The new court documents come after it was recently reported Angelina and Brad, 53, are "not even close" to settling their divorce.

"Brad has fulfilled his financial commitments, so it's unfortunate that anyone would misrepresent the situation and continue to play this out in the press", a friend of Pitt told ABC News.

Angelina Jolie has reportedly claimed that her estranged husband Brad Pitt has not paid any "meaningful" in the last 18 months, but sources claim the allegations are a publicity stunt to try and make him look bad.

Pitt and Jolie also have three children together, biologically: their daughter Shiloh was born in 2006, and their twins Knox and Vivienne were born in 2008. In the child custody hearing in June, the judge did not directly address Pitt's worth in relation to the child support he is allegedly supposed to pay 'informally'.

A document surfaced earlier this summer, which showed their judge ordered Jolie to give Pitt more time with their six children.

The September 2016 split quickly turned nasty, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation being called in to investigate claims that Pitt hit their eldest child, Maddox, during an argument on a plane.

In 2006, Pitt adopted Jolie's children, Maddox and Zahara, both of whom were adopted by Jolie prior to their marriage.
