In a bid that has been labelled "disrespectful" and "pathetic" by fans, Manchester United have unsurprisingly rejected an offer for World Cup winning midfielder, Paul Pogba.

They want to keep Pogba anyhow. However, Willian told ESPN Brazil last week that, despite his strong relationship with former boss Mourinho, his plan is to remain in London. In spite of Mourinho telling the press that all is well between them, these recent rumours have proved otherwise.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been linked with a sensational move to Barcelona this summer - but Ernesto Valverde is keeping quiet on any speculation.

Despite having today presented Arturo Vidal as a Barcelona player, head-coach Ernesto Valverde was full of praise for Pogba last week, and refused to rule out a move, a move which has now seemingly been made.

United begin their league campaign on Friday evening against Leicester City. There is also no indication at this stage that Pogba is willing to agitate for a transfer.

The Italian side tried everything they could to bring him back and even initiated several selling operations to fund a Pogba move, but United's refusal slowed down any kind of real talks.
