Omarosa Manigault Newman Releases Firing Tape

Omarosa Manigault Newman, the fired White House aide seeking publicity for her new memoir about her time in the Trump administration, said in an interview Sunday that the way Chief of Staff John F. Kelly dismissed her involved a "threat" and shared an audio recording of Kelly she said she made in the Situation Room.

"If I didn't have these recordings, no one in America would believe me", Manigault Newman told NBC during an interview to promote her book Unhinged, an explosive tell-all about her days in the White House before she was sacked in December.

It would be one thing if Omarosa's audio broke a news story about corruption or some other abuse of power in the White House, but the only audio she has released has come from her firing - she apparently only recorded people when she knew she was on her way out. "I'm not going to get into the tick-tock of who knew what and when".

She defended making tapes of her calls and meetings with Trump, Kelly and others, saying that if she hadn't, the White House would have claimed that the conversations never occurred. 'I can't believe someone would even think about doing something like that'.

She claimed the recording was made when Kelly took her into the Situation Room, a specially secure room where the president and his top aides address major national security crises, and where personal cell phones are not allowed.

The recordings came out as Omarosa promotes her new book "Unhinged, ' where she turns on her former boss and 'Apprentice" host.

Newman pushed back further against the framing of her dismissal by calling on the White House to release her personnel file to clear up what exactly happened.

Liverpool manager Klopp: Why are we Man City's only challengers?
A recent survey revealed Liverpool were the Premier League's unluckiest club last season, with decisions costing them 12 points. The Kop boss accepts expectations are sky high after splashing £170m this summer and impressing in pre-season.

That's after she released another tape on the Today show Monday morning of Trump expressing shock that she had been fired by Kelly. "She claims to have heard from someone who heard from me that I heard Trump use the N-word", Luntz tweeted last Friday.

The audio release comes a day after Manigault Newman released audio she said was of her firing by Kelly inside the White House Situation Room. Having already leaked a snippet of her dismissal by Kelly, she's now revealing a clip in which her former Apprentice co-star Trump bemoans her departure.

"I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation", she said.

"I'll just leave that to your imagination", Manigault Newman coyly answered the question. If there isn't national defense information or classified involved, merely recording ... in a SCIF is merely a security violation. "Goddamn it. I don't love you leaving at all". He didn't read the PDB (President's Daily Brief) aloud and then fire her.

"The very idea a staff member would sneak a recording device into the White House Situation Room shows a blatant disregard for our national security", she said.

"I'm in @Omarosa's book on page 149".

According to the New York Times, she had annoyed colleagues at the White House - but not Mr Trump himself - through her "damn-the-rules" behaviour.
