Mattis, Kelly denials of book quotes untrue: Bob Woodward

The incident is recounted in a new book from journalist Bob Woodward, who claims that Trump prepared a tweet claiming that the conflict with North Korea would end up boiling down to a personal conflict with Kim Jong-Un. "And we are trying to do what's right even when Donald Trump won't".

As a practical matter, the story could have the unintended effect of destabilizing Trump and his inner circle even further, said Ramesh Ponnuru, a conservative commentator and editor at the right-leaning National Review.

While Woodward's book draws from hundreds of hours of tapes and contains many quotes from named officials who do not dispute the quotes, Trump has been the subject of less-than-credible writing before.

The writer adds: "This isn't the work of the so-called deep state". This country does some things in the intelligence world which are so important to protect the country they are astonishing. "It gives a time, who participated".

The newspaper later said the tweet referring to "he" had been "drafted by someone who is not aware of the author's identity, including the gender, so the use of "he" was an error".

Woodward, the longtime Washington Post reporter who with Carl Bernstein uncovered the Watergate scandal in the Nixon administration, said in an interview on Sunday sounded the alarm about the administration by warning "people better wake up to what's going on". For many in Trump's orbit, it was stunning to realize just how many people could have been the op-ed's author.

Paul Pogba: Manchester United exit reports 'will always be just rumours'
Asked about his future, French great Zidane told TVE: "I am sure that I will coach again before long". The manager has them playing the wrong way for the fans.

In an interview with CBS News, the veteran journalist teased a scene from his upcoming book 'Fear: Trump in the White House' that illustrates just one example of the President doing something that could "threaten the national security or the financial security of the country, or of the world".

As soon as early excerpts of Woodward's book came out, numerous Trump White House officials began denying that they made the often-damning statements attributed to them in "Fear".

The President also lashed out on Wednesday and dismissed the op-ed as "really a disgrace" and "gutless" and assailed the author and the Times for publishing the anonymous opinion piece. Like him or loathe him, Reagan had a few big conservative ideas - free markets, low taxes, strong defence - and he employed around him a brilliant team of people who implemented those ideas. What's certain is that as long as Trump is president, chaos will be part of the picture.

Woodward's book is a tragicomic catalogue of life in a White House lorded over by an apparently unmoored president, even as top officials such as former economic adviser Gary Cohn snatched potentially destructive documents off the president's desk so he wouldn't sign them.

The 25th Amendment allows the vice president to take over if the commander in chief is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office".
