Rose waits through more rain delays at BMW Championship

Justin Rose was disappointed to suffer a play-off defeat at the BMW Championship, but he had done enough to become the new world No 1.

Persistent rain on Sunday gave PGA Tour officials no choice but to postpone the final round at Aronimink in suburban Philadelphia until Monday. He will enter the Tour Championship in second place in the FedEx Cup standings, trailing only Bryson DeChambeau, who won the first two playoff events.

Rose, who had a 67 in the final round, and Bradley, who fired a scintillating 64 on Monday, went back to the 18th tee for a sudden-death playoff after both bogeyed the closing hole to finish at 20 under 260 after 72 holes.

"I've played a few tournaments where I came close at the end, but just didn't quite get the W", Woods said afterward.

His performance today keeps him inside the top 30 of the FedExCup standings.

After several attempts to get play underway on day four of the BMW Championship, play was abandoned for the day with organisers of the third FedEx Cup Playoffs event still hopeful of a Monday local time finish.

Asked about his future, French great Zidane told TVE: "I am sure that I will coach again before long". The manager has them playing the wrong way for the fans.

The first tee time was scheduled for 7:30 a.m.

So would Schauffele, who believes winning might be his only hope of persuading Jim Furyk to take him with the last captain's pick for the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

Tiger Woods walks the ninth hole during the first round of the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club on May 3, 2018 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Spieth began the year ranked second in the world but has dropped to 10th after failing to win and posting just five top-10 finishes. He's in fifth at the moment, and that's a pretty good result. As for Bradley, this was his first PGA victory in six years and he looked elated to finally get over the line once more.

Jordan Spieth was the most prominent player to miss out. The requirement can be waived if a player competes in 25 events in either the previous or current season.
