In the Kerala nun sexual abuse case, the affidavit filed by the state deputy superintendent of police K Subhash states that Bishop Franco Mulakkal had committed unnatural sex against the consent of the nun, reported India Today.

Bishop Mulakkal on his part rejected the charges against him as "baseless and concocted" and said he was open for a probe.

Across Kerala, anger is rising that law enforcement has yet to arrest the bishop, despite multiple accounts against him. "We will fight. It was the church that forced us on to the streets". Anapura, a participant in Saturday's protest.
