UK's Labour Party ponders supporting new Brexit referendum

The claims emerge as Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says he plans to side with Tory Brexit rebels to force Mrs May into a general election as early as November.

"Let us be clear: to have a general election you need to have a vote in Parliament and those that say let's have a general election can not name one Conservative or member of the DUP that would vote for an election".

He said: 'A new poll shows 86% of Labour party members want the British people to be given a final say on the UK's future relationship with Europe.

A tacit deal to try to offer her some support before she heads to what is going to be a hard annual conference of her Conservative Party later this month was broken by some British diplomatic missteps.

After weeks of both European Union and British officials making positive noises about the prospects of clinching a divorce deal and one on a future trading relationship, the mood turned sour on Thursday in Salzburg, Austria when European Union leaders came out, one by one, to criticise "Chequers" as unrealistic.

He told the Mirror: "What comes out of conference I will adhere to".

A caller lost his temper with the Labour front bench for "changing their stance" on Brexit and the idea of a second referendum. I hope we will agree that the best way of resolving this is a General Election.

However, the exact wording of the motion to be voted on by party members will only be confirmed tomorrow,
with more than 100 constituency submissions being compiled into a text for debate last night. "So if conference makes a decision I will not walk away from it and I will act accordingly".

Momentum is now anxious that it may not win its battle for "open selections" of MPs before every election, because of opposition from some in the union movement and senior MPs, including shadow chancellor John McDonnell and deputy leader Tom Watson, who say it would be divisive at a time when unity is vital before a possible election. As one activist from the pro-Corbyn movement Momentum put it: "In Liverpool we will see whether we really have become a party of the members".

We'll grade the tape hard and see what we did wrong. "It's part of the National Football League season". After the game, though, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went out of his way to wish Garoppolo well.

Time is running out for negotiations, with Brexit due in March and the European Union insisting it must have significant progress by October and a final deal agreed in November.

"Ultimately we are not in control of this process right now. We want to negotiate a Labour Brexit". Some 81% believe their standard of living would get worse after Brexit and 89% say it would be bad for jobs.

Shadow equalities minister Ms Butler's comments were criticised by fellow Labour frontbencher Baroness Thornton.

"The next party in government is not going to be a racist party, it is inconceivable, so we will win".

A Labour spokesman said: "The point Dawn was making was that like the Thatcher government of the 1980s, this Tory Government has prioritised tax cuts for the rich while cutting services like women's refuges that save lives and keep women safe".

Mr Lammy shouted to the hundreds of people who marched through the city in support of the People's Vote campaign.

To drive home the message, several thousand People's Vote supporters marched through Liverpool on Sunday, waving blue-and-yellow EU flags alongside Union Jacks and holding signs reading "Bin Brexit", "Exit from Brexit" - and a few ruder slogans. If he gets it wrong, it will be catastrophic, the person told Bloomberg last week.

Jeremy Corbyn, as I understand it, wasn't in the meeting when the decision was taken but was at a party rally.

He told the Pienaar's Politics show: "We have a Government that can not govern".
