Did Crown Prince Order Murder of Saudi Journalist?

Earlier Turkish media close to the president published images of what it described as a 15-member "assassination squad" allegedly sent to kill Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and of a black van later moving from the Saudi consulate, where he went missing, to the consul's home.

Pressure appeared to be building worldwide on close USA ally Saudi Arabia on the whereabouts of Khashoggi, a prominent critic of Saudi policies, who was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to get documents for his planned marriage.

They reportedly took CCTV footage from the consulate with them back to Riyadh, while Turkish staff at the consulate were told to take holiday the day Khashoggi arrived. "Having said that, it may well be that we are already in the most supportive phase coming from this change and the effect will soon begin to ease". It's a very serious situation for us and for this White House ... We want to keep our journalism open and accessible and be able to keep providing you with news and analyses from the frontlines of Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish World.

We were going to take my siblings and some of our closest friends to dinner to share the good news. Trump also said he had spoken with the Saudis about what he called a "bad situation", but he did not disclose details of his conversations.

"We can not let this happen", he added. "So let us see how it evolves".

Trump on Monday expressed concern about Khashoggi's case and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called for a thorough investigation.

President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office today that he has spoken to the Saudi Arabian government about the mysterious disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi.

Local press reports suggested he was abducted and taken to Saudi Arabia, though this has never been confirmed.

Industry and government data on U.S. crude inventories will be delayed by one day this week because of Monday's U.S. Columbus Day holiday.

Jamal Khashoggi was once considered an insider to the Saudi establishment with links to the security and intelligence apparatus. Sabah newspaper published the names and years of birth of 15 Saudis it said arrived at Istanbul's Ataturk airport on October 2.

Other names and photos of the 15, who Sabah said traveled on diplomatic passports, match officers in the Saudi Army and Air Force, as identified by previous Saudi media reports and in one case a Facebook profile. Corker said Wednesday that he had warned the kingdom that its political support in the Senate is "the lowest ever" and that if Saudi officials are responsible for Kashoggi's disappearance, "this would drop it off a cliff".

A source told the Post that prior to Khashoggi going missing, USA intelligence intercepted Saudi officials' communications, which revealed a plan to capture Khashoggi and get him to Saudi Arabia.

A separate Post report on Wednesday said that U.S. officials intercepted communications between Saudi officials before he went missing on 2 October discussing plans to capture Khashoggi and lure him back to Saudi Arabia. "Everything points to them".

A United Nations human rights expert has said the investigation into the disappearance of a Saudi journalist in Turkey "should not be politicized", insisting the case has created a dilemma for the Turkish government. According to CNN's Manu Raju, Corker said he was told that no such video exists, because the security feed only provides a live feed, with no recordings made. "I miss my country very much".

'I would certainly concerned, ' he said.

Khashoggi had fled his homeland in September past year and had been living in self-imposed exile in the United States, where he had applied for U.S. citizenship, Cengiz said.

While Riyadh claimed he had left the consulate after his visit, Turkish police said Khashoggi did not emerge from the building.

Then on October 2, as he was about to enter the Saudi Consulate for the second time, Khashoggi left his cellphones with his fiancee, instructing her to inform Yasin Aktay if anything went wrong.
