There will be rain as well later in the night and combined with the stormy winds and high tides, coastal flooding is likely.

Heavy and persistent rain is due to fall from 6am until midnight on Friday in the north west of England, south west of Scotland and Lothian Borders, Wales and Yorkshire and Humber.

THE Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for much of the United Kingdom this weekend as Storm Callum threatens to strike.

An amber warning for heavy rain has been issued for most of south Wales on Friday, as Storm Callum approaches.

Despite basking in glorious sunshine today, Met Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange wind warning for Meath tomorrow.

It will come into effect on Thursday, October 11 at 11pm and last until 9am the following morning.
