Samsung Unveils the 4-Camera, Midrange Galaxy A9

Let's just hope that Samsung doesn't launch a Galaxy A11 phone with five cameras on the back next month.

It is expected that Samsung will reveal the device at its upcoming Galaxy phone launch event on October 11th (later tonight Australian time), which, according to the invites sent out, did hint and promise "4X fun".

The new phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, mobile payment capabilities and expandable storage of up to 512GB - all features common on high-end smartphones.

The Galaxy A7 will be available in the Philippines starting October 27 at a suggested retail price of P17,990.

And that's not where the cameras end, since there is a 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 for all selfies and video calls. Below that, a 2x optical zoom-enabled telephoto camera will enable users to get closer to their subjects.

Met Office names intense low-pressure area - Storm Callum
A weather system, named Storm Callum , has been brewing to the north west, near Newfoundland, and will hit Ireland tomorrow night. The Met Office said there will be strong winds and rainfall up to 10cm, leading to possible flooding and hard driving conditions.

The primary camera is a 24-megapixel sensor with an f/1.7 aperture that handles most of point-and-shoot needs. Keeping the device running is a 3,300 mAh battery that charges via micro USB. The Galaxy A9, which is due on sale in November, will cost a comparatively affordable £549.

Now for those in the states, we have some good news and some bad news.

Moving on to the main attraction, the rear of this smartphone features four camera sensors round the back, as you can see in the pictures. Samsung will reportedly include AI-enable scene detection camera feature which is exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in the older Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus phones. This is certainly an impressive device and it is about to get even better after you check out the rest of the specifications, especially the camera side of things.

It is being dubbed Galaxy A9 (2018), Galaxy A9 Pro, Galaxy A9 Star. It will be available in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink color options with gradient finish. We do know that the Galaxy A9 (2018) will launch in Europe and the U.K. The U.S.is unlikely to be a launch market.

The Galaxy A9 comes shipped with Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box.
