The first poster from 'Aladdin' live-action will warm your heart

Will Smith, who plays Genie in the upcoming film, debuted the one-sheet on his Instagram page on Wednesday. People love Aladdin, and while I'm sure there will be some additions and some alterations, overall the new movie will likely bear a strong resemblance to the animated original.

Will Smith has shared the first cast photo of Disney's live-action "Aladdin" with a post on his Facebook page as Guy Ritchie begins filming the movie in London.

Smith will voice Genie, which Robin Williams won a Golden Globe Special Achievement Award in 1993 for his work as the larger-than-life sidekick to Aladdin.

United Nations climate change report could reflect local weather patterns
The sea level rise by 2100, for example, will be lower than 10cm in case of a temperature rise of 1.5°C as compared to a 2°C rise. The survey said that between January and March this year, Australia had its most elevated levels of carbon pollution since 2011.

The poster shows a magic lamp emitting wisps of blue smoke and says simply, "Choose Wisely". While out in the land of the living, Genie helps Aladdin capture the attention (and later the heart) of Jasmine, the princess of Agrabah whose father, the Sultan, desperately wants to find her someone to marry. He's the biggest name attached here, with up-and-coming actor Mena Massoud in the lead role and Power Rangers' Naomi Scott playing Princess Jasmine.

Disney knows a good thing when they see it, so they're all-in on live-action remakes of their animated hits. The producer is Dan Lin (The LEGO Movie) with Golden Globe victor Marc Platt (La La Land), Jonathan Eirich (Death Note) and Kevin De La Noy (The Dark Knight Rises) serving as executive producers.
