Ariana Grande and Pete Davison split

Grande had titled a track on her new chart-dominating album Sweetener after Davidson himself, "Pete Davidson", and the pair made their red carpet debut at the VMAs in August.

Both Ariana and Pete have taken different approaches to their social media pages since going their separate ways.

INSIDER has reached out to the couple's representatives for comment.

They were besotted instantly, Davidson told GQ. I can't believe you aren't here anymore. "She was calling my bluff".

"I took some time off bc i was real sad", Grande tweeted last week when asked about when she would be filming a new music video. News: "Pete called me at the end of May and said "Look, I'm getting a ring". Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, reportedly told the audience that Grande needed time to "heal".

At the time, a source even told People that, "It's a recent engagement".

USA TODAY has reached out to event representatives to confirm Grande was not in attendance.

Patriots show championship mettle in wild win over Chiefs
The Patriots almost squandered a 24-9 first-half lead multiple times in Sunday night's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs. Tom Brady has received a better supporting cast around him with Julian Edelman returning from injury and suspension.

Grande was shaken by the sudden death of ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, who passed away in September. In the aftermath, Grande has canceled scheduled shows. Pete also had her last name, Grande, inked across his ribs.

Grande then skipped a planned appearance on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Before that, she sat out the Emmy Awards.

People magazine subsequently reported that a Grande source told them the couple chose to split as it was "way too much too soon".

The Blast reports that Ari needs time to "work on herself" right now and she needs to be single to do that.

Miller was featured on Grande's breakout 2013 track "The Way", beginning a successful working relationship.
