Apple's cheaper iPhone XR to generate more revenue

The caution could exist because of the weak demand and sale record of the already released iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

Apple's cheapest iPhone - the colourful iPhone XR - will cost R15,999 for the 64GB version in South Africa, and will be available in stores on October 26, iStore South Africa revealed on Wednesday.

As for Airtel, the iPhone XR can be booked via the telecom giant from today with down payments starting at Rs. 14,999.

Interested parties will be able to place their order for the new iPhone XR starting at 12:01 a.m. PST on October 19. It'll be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options as well as black, blue, yellow, white, coral, and red color options.

It will, however, come in a 128GB model - along with 64GB and 256GB options - which is said is the ideal storage option for a smartphone. The 5.8-inch iPhone XS and 6.5-inch XS Max uses OLED panels. The new Liquid Retina display is rumored to be the reason for such a long delay of the iPhone XR.

Gianforte's Body Slam Helped Him Win Special Election
Donald Trump kicked off a western tour in Montana on Thursday ostensibly to support Matt Rosendale as he attempts to unseat Sen. Trump's comment was a reference to when Gianforte body-slammed a reporter in 2017 who got up in his face.

It will then start shipping on 26 October.

The body of the iPhone XR is sealed and precision-fitted with the aerospace-grade aluminium band that helps create an enclosure that's water resistant up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. In terms of optics, there is a single 12MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, smart HDR, OIS, and quad-LED flash.

As far as features are concerned, the iPhone XR is an absolute beast and sports the same hardware as Apple's iPhone XS models.

"IPhone XR makes it possible for even more people to have the great experience of the latest iPhone X technology, in handsome new designs, at a more affordable price".

Contract pricing will be revealed tomorrow but expect this device to set you back around £40 per month. The front sees a 7MP TrueDepth camera similar to the other two iPhones.
