Struggling Raiders trade Amari Cooper to Cowboys for first-round pick

Rumors had suggested Cooper was available on the trade market, and Dallas' weakness at wide receiver in its post-Dez Bryant era had been well-documented. A two-time Pro Bowler, Cooper became just the third player in National Football League history to record 1,000 receiving yards and 70 receptions in each of his first two seasons (2015-16).

Dallas receivers have just one 100-yard game combined through seven games, by Cole Beasley in a Week 6 win over Jacksonville. Cooper had two 1,000-yars campaigns to begin his career after being taken fourth-overall out of Alabama in 2015 but has done little since. What makes that number even more alarming was the fact he had over 100 yards in only two games and much of his statistical output was due to an 11/210/2 game he had against the Chiefs in early October past year. Last season, however, he caught just 48 passes for 680 yards and struggled with drops. He is expected to be able to play when the Cowboys return from their bye week to face the Tennessee Titans on November 5. That Gruden got a first-rounder for Cooper speaks to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' own desperation as the team's gasbaggy general manager, but it's also the latest in a series of reminders that the Raiders in their current state of disarray essentially are a giant 53-person couch placed out on the front lawn for anyone to grab. But it is another example of the Raiders (1-5) looking to the future.

Regardless, he gives Dallas both a No. 1 option and experienced deep threat.

Caravan Protesters Paint Swastika on American Flag, Burn It in the Street
Around 5,000 Central American migrants are attempting to enter the U.S. , despite Mexican efforts to stop them at the border. Migration is just as controversial in Mexico, where President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he will ask Mr.

The Cowboys have been calling around to people who know the 24-year-old Cooper, gathering as much information as they can about him as they mull whether to make a move for the former first-round draft selection, according to sources.

That is elite receiver money and Cooper is not an elite receiver, and then you remember the Cowboys are giving up a first round pick that right now would be in the top 10.
