FREE Starbucks Reusable Red Cup with holiday drink purchase Friday

Starbucks is giving away free, Reusable Red Cups on Friday, Nov. 2, that will get you a special discount through the holidays.

Starbucks says it listened to customers when it came to picking these designs, who said they love the tradition of Christmas.

Last year's cups drew the ire of some Grinches who were upset that the cups allowed people to fill in their own holiday color schemes.

What's going on: Starbucks unveiled its latest lineup of holiday cups Thursday. They feature mistletoe, two cups with red and white designs, and one green cup with stars and a chain-link-fence-ish pattern.

Hop on over to Starbucks on November 2nd for a holiday drink! They're all red, green, and white.

And you could get one for a buddy as an early Christmas gift. Last year's cup "didn't resonate with some, [but] it did resonate with others".

Stock markets rally after Trump and Xi talk trade
In response, Beijing said it would impose taxes on 5,207 United States imports worth about $60 billion. China and the US , the world's two largest economies, are in a bitter trade dispute.

"We learn from everything we do in our stores", she said.

History: Starbucks started releasing holiday cups in 1997.

This year, the question from 2015 returns: Is Starbucks truly embracing Christmas?

Twitter this morning was filled with Starbucks diehards admitting they were waiting in insane drive-through lines to grab eggnog lattes and a free cup.

They've kept a couple of classic flavors, like Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Latte, and are debuting a few brand ones, like Sugar Plum Cheese Danishes, and Pistachio Honey Croissants.

Starbucks is also bringing back its famous (and occasionally controversial) holiday cups, and also introducing a new twist for 2018.
