Donald Trump berates Jim Acosta in contentious White House news conference

"Excuse me, that's enough", as Acosta tried to follow up. He gave a lengthy overview of the races, said the GOP did pretty well, as Democrats didn't have a wave year as they did in 2006-and then opened it up for questions.

"I think you should let me run the country", he told CNN reporter Jim Acosta when pressed further about his immigration claims.

'CNN should be ashamed of itself having you work for them.

'You are a very rude person, ' Trump told him.

Acosta physically prevented a female White House staffer from taking away the microphone after President Trump told him to stop talking.

"I consider it to be an invasion", Trump responded.

"They weren't actors", Mr. Trump said of the news footage in the ad. You shouldn't be working for CNN, ' the president said to Acosta.

Kidnapped Cameroon students released
Seventy-eight children kidnapped from their boarding school in Cameroon have been freed, school authorities told CNN Wednesday. Neither the government nor the separatist groups provided evidence to substantiate their accusations.

Trump then had an aide snatch the mic away from Acosta, and when it was passed to NBC's Peter Alexander, who began to defend Acosta, Trump got angry again.

Though Trump tried to shut down Acosta's attempts at a follow-up - "That's enough", he said repeatedly, walking away from the microphone several times - Acosta did get in a second question about potential upcoming indictments in the Russian Federation investigation. And the way you treat other people is terrible. The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is terrible, and the way you treat other people are awful.

When Acosta started to ask Trump about his comments calling a migrant group marching toward the southern U.S. border an "invasion", Trump said that's what he still considers it. Trump became frustrated with Acosta's antics. "You shouldn't treat people that way".

Trump shot back: "Well, I'm not a big fan of yours either, to be honest". You and I have a difference of opinion.

"It's such a hostile media".

"There are some people who say the Republican Party is seen as supporting white nationalists because of your rhetoric", Alcindor said.
