Saints' Dez Bryant not to expected to make debut Sunday vs. Bengals

"I've always been a good guy", Bryant said after his first practice with New Orleans on Thursday afternoon. Less than a day after his arrival for a workout, Bryant beat out everybody and was quickly offered a deal so he could get into the Saints facility and get to work as soon as possible.

But his production had been slipping in recent years as he battled foot and knee injuries; he had 69 catches for 838 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games last year. It's like family. Every locker room that I've been in from middle school, high school, college to the pros, it's always been like a family.

Just two days after signing with the New Orleans Saints, Bryant was helped off the field with what is feared to be a torn Achilles tendon according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. New Orleans now ranks second in the National Football League in points per game with 34.9, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs who are averaging 36.3.

Thomas, who is New Orleans' leading receiver, said he has been following Bryant's career. Green will be out until at least December with a toe injury, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Payton said the wideout is expected to make a "full recovery".

The other is Sunday in Cincinnati where the 7-1 Saints bring their seven-game winning streak to Paul Brown Stadium to take on the 5-3 Bengals. You know I still love those guys.
