Fallout 76 players get their personal details leaked by Bethesda

The launch of Fallout 76 has been beset by problems. Fallout 76 could be pre-ordered in a pricey Power Armor set, complete with a wearable replica helmet and a tote bag.

Game publisher Bethesda Softworks' customer support has goofed.

Bethesda took to Twitter to announce that they had "immediately took down the website" so that this issue could be fixed. Still, inadvertent consequences followed as a result of Bethesda's compensation efforts. The details - which included people's names, addresses and phone numbers - mostly belonged to Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition buyers, who were after a replacement canvas bag for the nylon one that was actually included.

Twitter users have been posting frequently on the platform sharing screenshots of their support ticket screen, which, instead of just containing their own complaints, now holds complaints from people around the world in the same position. As in, every ticket going through the system. I'm assuming this is a bug in the website, because I don't see for what reason Bethesda would make tickets public.

Seattle woman dies after contracting rare form of brain-eating amoeba
According to the CDC , most brain infections from amoebas are associated with swimming in warm freshwater lakes and rivers . But what doctors initially thought was a brain tumor turned out to be rare amoebas that were attacking her brain.

"Hi guys, we've resolved this issue". I was unable to file a ticket to attempt to replicate the issue, however, as the ticket-submission page was still missing its "submit" button as of press time. Not only could players see others' information, but they could also update and close tickets.

How long the issue was present and / or how much data was accessed by users remains unknown.
