Deadline passes as nobody claims B.C. lottery ticket worth $1 million

Time is running out for one lottery victor who purchased a winning ticket worth $1-million one year ago.

Someone who purchased a lottery ticket in British Columbia a year ago is about to lose out on $1 million.

The Lotto 6-49 ticket was purchased in the Victoria, B.C. area on January 3, 2018 and will expire at 4:30 p.m. PST Thursday.

In order to claim the prize, the victor will need to go to either the BCLC office in Vancouver or Kamloops. PST, BCLC staff had seen no sign of the ticket holder coming forward to claim their prize.

It might seem insane, but BCLC is also waiting to hear from the victor of a $39-million Lotto Max jackpot that was won in Delta South on December 28.

Djokovic happy after fighting past Fucsovics
The Djokovic brothers, who had not won a match together in five attempts before coming to Doha , have now won two in two. In the victory, Djokovic won 74 percent of his first serve points and 59 percent of his second serve points.

This is the first million dollar prize win in Manitoba in 2019.

Throughout BCLC's history, a total of roughly $6.2 million in prizes have gone unclaimed, including yesterday's missed million.

It was the only one sold across Canada to match all six winning numbers: 13, 18, 19, 36, 37 and 43. Two Lotto Max Maxmillion and two 6-49 tickets.

The latest victor still hasn't come forward, but their ticket is worth $16,319,280.
