Kevin Spacey expected in court Monday to face sex assault charges

The script this time will be a legal one, as the Oscar-winning actor responds to charges of felony indecent assault and battery.

The incident is alleged to have happened in 2016 but was only reported to police after the actor was publicly accused of similar assaults dating back three decades. Spacey has said he intends to plead not guilty.

The Nantucket allegations were first raised in November 2017 by former Boston television journalist Heather Unruh, who told reporters Spacey groped her teenage son on July 7, 2016, at the Club Car restaurant and bar, where he worked as a bus boy.

After meeting the actor and telling him he was 23 years old - the legal drinking age is 21 in MA - he said he started drinking first beer and then whiskey with Mr Spacey at his urging.

Spacey became embroiled in controversy in October 2017 when actor Anthony Rapp accused him of trying to seduce him in 1986 when Rapp was 14.

Al-Badawi had twice been detained by Yemeni authorities for his role in the attacks, but escaped from prison both times. The man targeted, Jamal al-Badawi, is wanted in the United States for his role in the Cole attack on October 12, 2000.

In addition to the Nantucket case, two other investigations are under way in Los Angeles and London, where Mr Spacey served as artistic director of the prestigious Old Vic theater from 2004 to 2015.

The accuser said he initially lied to Spacey by saying he was a 23-year-old college student and also told investigators that he was the one who approached Spacey, wanting a photo, and proceeded to drink heavily before the alleged assault took place some time after midnight, reports in the case show. The teen said that Spacey assaulted him, she said. He made a decision to come forward and tell police because he did not want what happened to him to happen to someone else, he said in the complaint. Spacey said he did not remember the incident but apologized if the allegations were true.

Later that day, the actor released video in which he appeared as his House of Cards character Frank Underwood. The character was killed off in the show after Spacey was sacked.

United Kingdom police are also investigating several allegations that centre around his time serving as artistic director at London's Old Vic theatre.

"Some believed everything and have just been waiting with bated breath to hear me confess it all", Spacey said in the video. Wouldn't that be easy if it was all so simple? And besides, I know what you want. You wouldn't rush to judgment without facts, would you?
