Disneyland raising prices, cheapest daily ticket over $100

According to The Los Angeles Times, the cheapest ticket to get into Disneyland now costs more than $100, while daily parking prices are increasing from $20 to $25.

The park is anticipating a surge of interest for the opening of its Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge expansion, which includes a 14-acre immersive world based on the popular sci-fi franchise and new rides and attractions (including the one pictured above, where visitors can "fly" the Millennium Falcon). The price of the one-day value ticket, which blocks out even more dates, rose from $97 to $104.

But with prices of entry seeing a sharp incline, and with visitor demand expected to hit new heights this year, is it actually the die-hard Disneyland attendees footing the bill for the costly expansion? Regular-demand days have risen in ticket prices from $117 to $129 which is a 10.3 percent increase.

Why?: A Disneyland spokeswoman said the resort offers different tickets to help with park demand, Fox Business reported. And on peak-demand days?

Someone else likened the cost of going to Disneyland to that of attending a big-league athletic event: "Pretty soon it will go the way of pro sports season tickets and stadium food". That's an 8.1 percent increase from the previous price of $369. In fact, 211 days are blocked for the next 12 months.

PG&E shares plunge on bankruptcy worries
A bankruptcy filing is not PG&E's preference for addressing liabilities from the catastrophic blazes, some of the sources said. Investigators have not determined the cause of a massive wildfire that destroyed the town of Paradise in November.

The Deluxe Pass and Premier Pass have also increased.

The park is now holding a limited-time offer for patrons both in California and in other states.

And if you want to take advantage of the MaxPass, a digital ride-reservation system on your smartphone, be prepared to pay an extra $5.
