New Captain Marvel footage teases the origin of the Avengers

Marvel has been extremely secretive when it comes to the Avengers: Infinity War follow-up, even keeping the title under wraps until the release of last month's teaser trailer. As of today, you can buy tickets to the film - starring Brie Larson as space-bound super-duper-hero Carol Danvers - on Fandango.

We also got to see more of Jude Law's character, previously seen only in glimpses and whose name is still unknown. At this point, Samuel L. Jackson's Fury is just a low-level S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and Carol's arrival on Earth is his first encounter with the odd and extraterrestrial. Carol and Fury feature plenty of the amusing quips which are quite common in all the MCU movies.

The trailer itself gave very little away, seemingly restricting itself to footage from the first act of the movie, and according to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, we may have to wait until the film's release before we see anything beyond that.

The movie will showcase many MCU characters such as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) as well as Guardians of the Galaxy's Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Korath (Djimon Hounsou).
