As US growth slows, Trump could become even more unpredictable

China and US officials started negotiations Monday in the first face-to-face meetings since Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping agreed in early December on a 90-day truce. "We have lodged stern representations with the USA side".

China's foreign ministry on Monday confirmed that Wang would deliver a keynote speech at Davos, though didn't confirm any plans for him to meet Trump.

The American delegation is led by a deputy USA trade representative, Jeffrey D. Gerrish, and includes agriculture, energy, commerce, treasury and State Department officials.

The White House is making sure this go-around is different.
