After retired Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman attacked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), saying that he "hope she's not the future" for Democrats, the 29-year-old freshman lawmaker clapped back with a meme teasing her attempt to push the party leftward.

Melissa Stewart, a state Workers Compensation Board spokeswoman, told the Daily News that the Ocasio-Cortez campaign coverage lasted from March 31 to April 30 a year ago and it already paid the fine.

"This coverage is vital to ensuring workers are protected for on-the-job injuries".

"I can not tell you the amount of dysfunction that this president is advancing", she said on MSNCB following the address, as reported by The Daily Wire.

In responding to the Politico article Friday morning, Ocasio-Cortez quoted a character from the comic book Watchmen to signal her intention to resist the influence of more experienced lawmakers. "She doesn't understand how the place works yet". But others believe Ocasio-Cortez is tweeting her way to an ineffectual career if she continues to treat her own party as the enemy.

Ocasio-Cortez, who describes herself as a "democratic socialist" has become the face of a new younger and more "woke" demographic focused on fixing systemic problems in the country.

Additionally, Ocasio-Cortez accused: President Trump "he has a proven track record of discrimination against anybody who's really non-white in the United States" predating his 2016 election to the White House. "My life, and just the campaign's life, changed overnight", she said during an interview. "I'm a little confused why she's the thing".
