The Oscars are happening next month and the host is ... no one

The same producer did imply that moving away from a single Oscar host will be a good change.

I'm over the moment. "I don't want people to think there's a thing about me and the Academy", he added.

Just three days later, he stepped down after homophobic tweets from eight years ago re-emerged; he said he's already apologized for the tweets and that he's not the same person he was at that time.

"I say I'm done with it".

With a little less than six weeks to find a replacement for the February 24 show, the Academy has made a decision to nix a host altogether, according to a report by Variety.

Kevin Hart arrives at the Los Angeles premiere of "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" in Los Angeles. I am truly happy people....there is nothing that you can do to change that...

DeGeneres - a past Oscars host herself - said she called the Academy and asked them to reconsider having Hart host. I'm not giving no more because it shows that it's endless, so I'm not shutting down the questions.

Sonos One and Sonos Beam are finally getting Google Assistant support……soon
Real-time machine-assisted translated conversations are becoming increasingly popular, though options are still limited. It rolled out new integrations with Google Maps , where users can operate the app hands-free with just their voice.

The source then explained Hart has been "making the rounds", apologizing publicly on a number of talk shows.

It's a choice made significantly more hard by the reality that Hart is in the middle of a press tour for his latest film, The Upside, co-starring Bryan Cranston. "It gets no more energy from me", Hart said. I hear everything you're saying, but I want everybody to know I'm done with it.

For the first time in 30 years, the Academy Awards will not have a host.

Speaking with Strahan Wednesday about potentially hosting the Oscars in the future, Hart said, "if it does [happen], it does, but it's not the conversation of today". The 39-year-old comedian went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in January to address the controversy and eventually apologised to the LGBTQ community for his comments. "I've said who I am now versus who I was then". There was a possibility of Hart coming back if the Academy felt his appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' show revealed true remorse, but Hart once again played the victim card as opposed to offering any kind of a genuine apology. "I know that within my apologies I've taken 10 years to put my apology to work".

"I'm over it", he told Strahan.

Without a host (or hosts) to hold down the proverbial fort and keep the night from straight-up stinking, the 2019 Oscars will either be a surprising hit or a messy miss. "It's all they ever wanted him to do, and he's doing it in spades. It's a choice that I've personally made to say I'm not addressing it anymore".
