Vince Gilligan’s ‘Breaking Bad’ Movie Headed To Netflix & AMC

A film about Jesse Pinkman, Breaking Bad's troubled underling of meth boss Walter White, will return in a feature film to air first on Netflix. It is being written by Breaking Bad's Vince Gilligan, and given that AMC has United States streaming rights only, it is unclear where it will air in other areas of the world.

The report suggests that the movie will actually flip the script on Breaking Bad's relationship with streaming. "Not only are we standing up here, I don't think our show would have even lasted beyond season two. It's a new era in television, and we've been very fortunate to reap the benefits". He is joined by producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein, who have worked with Gilligan both on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The streamer also gave one of its original film productions, Roma, a rare extended theatrical run; the film is now a front-runner for this month's Best Picture award at the Academy Awards.
