Sunday not a fun day with cold, rain, snow

The National Weather Service is warning pastors to have someone monitor the weather during Sunday services amid heightened risk for damaging tornadoes in parts of the South. Another round of strong to severe storms is possible sometime Wednesday into Thursday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will fire up Sunday afternoon ahead of an incoming cold front. A few showers in the afternoon, otherwise cloudy and cool. High near 77. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 miles per hour becoming west in the afternoon. It'll be pretty nice with highs around 70 Monday and near 80 Tuesday.

Two storm systems are expected to bring heavy rain to most of the New York-New Jersey region from Friday night through Monday morning. High: 77. Wind: S 15-25 miles per hour. South wind 5 to 10 miles per hour. High: 74. Wind: NW 10-20 miles per hour.

Rounds of rain and a few thunderstorms are expected across the Brazos Valley Saturday.
