Blake Griffin Could Miss Entire Series Against Bucks With Left Knee Injury

Any excitement about the Pistons being in the playoffs evaporated right about at the opening tip Sunday in Game 1 of an Eastern Conference playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks. The issue with the knee has been bothering Griffin since late March, and it caused him to miss several critical regular-season games down the stretch of the season.

With all of that considered, let's dive a little deeper into the way Game 1 played out, placing a particular emphasis on the Bucks' individual performances against the Pistons. There's no structural damage in the left knee, and it's unclear whether he'll need some type of minor procedure this offseason. He had to be pulled from a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, the team's penultimate regular season game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's aggression set the tone early on, but he was ultimately joined on that front by virtually every other Buck who was available to play on Sunday night.

We have been working for just over four weeks, they are a great group of players that will get better. That's what happened in my second season here, we were relegated with a great team.

The teams play again Wednesday in Milwaukee with the series shifting to the Pistons' home floor Saturday for Game 3, giving Griffin the possibility of 10 days off if he sits out Game 2.
