Google teases May 7 announcement of Pixel 3a and 3a XL

Specifically, Google may have struck a deal with T-Mobile to offer the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in the carrier's stores, giving consumers one more option when it comes to obtaining one.

Google looks set to be readying all-new additions to its Pixel hardware range.

In other Google Pixel and T-Mobile news, today's report also mentions that T-Mobile is testing the Google Pixel 3a for network compatibility.

Interestingly, this Google Store teaser simultaneously went live with a new Avengers: Endgame promotion. It also has text that reads "On May 7, something big is coming to the Pixel universe" which hints at the announcement of the Pixel 3a and 3a XL on the said date.

Available in the latest update to Google's camera app for the Pixel 3, Photobooth is a new feature that uses artificial intelligence to recognize kisses, clear faces and open eyes to automatically take a photo.

The Pixel 3a line will supposedly retain the camera performance of the company's flagship Pixel 3 12MP camera but will make sacrifices in the processing power, screen resolution, and build (plastic backing as opposed to glass). The teaser links to a preview ad for the Pixel 3 lineup and Avengers: Endgame, a movie that won't be released until April 26.

Importantly, the Playmoji AR lineup already has Thor, Black Widow, Rocket, and Captain Marvel from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of its Avengers Playground stickers pack.
