More important to Apple's bottom line, the app also will allow users to sign up and pay for channels they do not already subscribe to without creating new passwords or downloading additional apps.

Apple today announced the release of iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3, which bring the new TV app to over 100 countries.

Unveiled two months ago, Apple's new TV app is now making its way to iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and compatible Samsung smart TVs.

Manchester City retains Premier League title, outlasts Liverpool on season's final day
This season we had an incredible opponent, so congratulations Liverpool as well for this incredible season but we did it.

We recently previewed the new Apple TV app. Apple TV+ is Apple's own video subscription service, with completely original content that won't be accessible anywhere else.

The TV app is also Apple's latest home for selling and renting movies. With this software update, Samsung customers can now enjoy all of their Apple TV channels, as well as iTunes movies and television shows, right on their Samsung TV. Users just need to select the app icon to access all of their iTunes movies and TV show purchases. In addition, subscribers can watch and download shows and movies both online and offline - which makes the Apple TV app the first (and for now only) place where HBO subscribers can download movies and shows such as "Game of Thrones" for offline viewing.

The company is launching a redesigned version of the Apple TV app as it also prepares to launch its new TV+ streaming service later this year.

The app's Watch Now section features Up Next, where users can find and watch their favorite titles with activity synced across devices, as well as explore curated collections based on their viewing interests. With AirPlay 2-enabled Samsung Smart TVs, customers can now also effortlessly play videos and other content from their iPhone, iPad or Mac directly to their Samsung Smart TV. Since Samsung is the leading manufacturer of premium TVs, this partnership was inevitable.
