The Central government today announced that 7.58 lakh teachers of universities and colleges across the country will soon get the benefits in line with the recommendations of the 7th pay commission . The allowances as recommended by the 7th Central Pay Commission would have cost the exchequer Rs 29,300 crore. The revised salary of the assistant professors (Grade-2) will come at Rs 68,000 per month against the current Rs 56,000 per month.
