The scientists at Stanford University in the U.S. said that injecting the vaccine directly into a tumour not only kills the original cancer, but also eliminates all traces of the specifically targeted cancer from the animal's entire body. The study also states that the vaccine is unlikely to cause such detrimental side effects as other cancer treatments are known to cause. Those are injected directly into a tumor.
